British Age Group Points are generated when a correction factor is applied to a GB Points score. BAG Points are only available for ages 9 through 13 boys and girls and 14 year old boys. As an example using in 2005, a time of 1:23.47 for the women's 100m Breast stroke (short course) scores 537 GB points. If it is achieved by an 11 year old girl it would be multiplied by a correction factor of 1.1220 which gives a BAG Points score of 603.

GB Points score x BAG Correction Factor = BAG Points score (537 x 1.122 = 603).

HY-TEK's MEET MANAGER has these correction factors built in and the correction factors are changed by British Swimming once per year in early September. HY-TEK uses the Start Date of the Meet to determine which set of correction factors to use. For example, if the meet start date is 4 January 2005, then the current release of HY-TEK's MEET MANAGER software will use the 2005 correction factors supplied by British Swimming.
