DOS-MM Users - How to Move Entries and Events

If you have already set up your meet events and entries in HY-TEK's MEET MANAGER for DOS product, follow these steps to move that information over to MM. Please note that if there are results in the DOS-MM Database, these results cannot be moved into your MM Database. These steps assume you are using DOS-MM 8.2 Update #2 and COMMLINK 6.1.

1.	Start DOS Meet Manager version 8.2.2, go to the Maintenance Menu, select Export Events, and have the events copied to a diskette in either the A or B Drive.

2.	Open a new database in MEET MANAGER by clicking File and Open/New. Enter a database name and click Open. Enter the Meet Name and dates and other basic info.

3.	Click on File / Import / Events from MM. Tell MM where to find the .hyv file created by DOS-MM – probably Drive A.

4.	Start COMMLINK for Dos and choose Build from the Main Menu, then choose A for Merging Entries from 2 Computers. Enter the directory where the DOS-MM database is located and proceed with the export of the entries.

5.	Next, go to MEET MANAGER, select File / Import / Entries, and select the location of the .cl2 file created by COMMLINK.

That's it! Your Meet is now set up in MEET MANAGER. Select Events from the MM Main Menu Bar to review the events you have imported. Click on Athletes from the Main Menu Bar and review the Entries that you have imported. Now you are ready to seed your meet and print your Meet program!
