HY-WIRE is a software product from HY-TEK that you download from the web, HotSync to your Wi-Fi enabled Palm OS device, place your order, then activate. Click here to view the HY-TEK web site where you can download the HY-WIRE software. Once activated, use your Wi-Fi enabled Palm OS device loaded with HY-WIRE at any meet running HY-TEK's MEET MANAGER on a computer with a wireless broadcast and with the MEET MANAGER HY-WIRE system enabled. You will be able to collect information about who is swimming in what event/heat/lane as well as meet results including cumulative and subtractive splits and relay names.
IP Address
The IP address that HY-WIRE is looking for must be the same as the HY-TEK local computer's IP Address. To change the IP address in HY-WIRE for Palm OS, start HY-WIRE, tap the title "HY-TEK's HY-WIRE" at the top, then tap Preferences, then tap Comm. The Host IP Addr for HY-WIRE will default to 192.168.0.90. This IP address must match the IP address of the HY-TEK computer that is broadcasting the HY-WIRE data. Therefore you will need to check with the MEET MANAGER operator to find out what IP address to enter in HY-WIRE. After you find out what the HY-TEK IP Address is, edit the Host IP Addr in HY-WIRE by tapping on the numbers on the screen and editing the numbers. Refer to the screen shot below.
Port Number
The default port number in HY-WIRE is 1950. Do not change this port number unless told to do so by the HY-TEK operator.
